The Challenge

A general contractor’s brand doesn’t live in a logo. It lives on the jobsite, in the trailer at 6 a.m., and in the people who show up to build. JHL Constructors builds across Colorado under a simple promise, “Building Colorado’s Future,” and the firm needed that promise to be visible: to the owners choosing a builder, to the trade partners choosing who to work with, and most of all to the next generation of superintendents, engineers, and interns deciding where to start a career.

The hard part wasn’t finding stories. It was capturing them consistently, on active sites, without slowing the work down.

The Approach

Rather than a single campaign, we built an ongoing program: a standing film-and-photography partnership that follows JHL through its year. Safety Week, the intern class, company events, and the people-first stories that recruiting actually runs on. Each shoot is planned around the site’s schedule and safety requirements, with a small crew that can work inside the fence without becoming the story.

The result is a library that grows every season, in one visual voice, ready for the website, social, recruiting fairs, and proposals.

The Work

  • Women in Construction—a brand film built on the voices of the women running JHL’s projects, from the field to the office.
  • Safety Week 2026—event coverage that turns a required program into a story the whole company can share.
  • Spring Fling 2026—company-culture film from JHL’s spring event.
  • 2026 Intern Bloopers—the outtakes reel that makes an intern program feel like a place you’d want to be.
  • Jobsite photography—crews, equipment, drone perspectives, and details, captured alongside every film shoot so the still library keeps pace with the video.

The Results

An always-current library of films and photography that JHL uses across recruiting, social, and business development, produced on a cadence that fits the way a contractor actually works.
